Sony: New PS3 Delay "Categorically Not True"

PS3 is right on schedule, and don't let anybody tell you differently. This is the sentiment expressed by Sony in response to the MeriStation report that indicated there may be another PS3 delay in certain parts of the globe.
A Sony spokesperson is now quoted by Eurogamer as saying: "Any reports of a further delay to the launch of the PS3 in Europe are categorically not true.
"We are still fully committed to a March 2007 launch date. Ken Kutaragi has not done any media briefings since the Tokyo Game Show, and the story is not true."
Here's the MeriStation report that had the company miffed:
According to Kutaragi, the PS3 manufacturing does not finish reaching the awaited rate and its launching could end up being placed in the month of May in Europe, decision that would come to sustain a greater support to the markets Japanese and North American, although at the moment Sony has not modified its predictions of launching.
There's still no response to MeriStation or any indication on what the source of the report was in the first place.
